Thanks to the Floresita for the sweet introduction and for allowing me to be a part of the Feeling Stitchy crew. I'm thrilled to be here, especially since Feeling Stitchy was a big source of inspiration when I first started stitching!
Needlework is something I've always found beautiful and inspiring. I've been writing about it at MrXStitch for about a year now, and seeing the amazing things that people are doing with the medium is an awesome thing to behold. While I love all types of needlework, I have to admit that there is a special place in my heart for what I like to call Snarky Stitching - embroidery or cross stitch with a sense of humor. :) It's what I do.
I can't explain it. I get a huge thrill out of combining old-fashioned or even antique patterns with unexpected text.
Once I started doing it, I couldn't stop.
I'm definitely not alone. There are a lot of great stitchers out there producing some quality stuff. Here's some things I've seen recently that made me smile: This Ferris Bueller's Day Off quote from letsxstitch:
