Embroidery Diagrams for Lefties

Hey you southpaw stitchers! I've added some diagrams designed for left-handed embroiderers on Sublime Stitching. I plan on adding more, so please let me know if they make sense to you!

Stitching Diagrams for Lefties

  1. I'm enlightened! I always thought the split stitch was the chain stitch. So, for split stitch you MUST be using two or more threads of floss, right? Because you're splitting through them? I've been scared to try anything more than the stem and back stitch.

  2. OH this is wonderful! I am a lefty too ! This helped now if you can only show how to do the french knot left handed. I just do it right handed because thats the only diagram I could find. THanks though... I am still struggling withe the stem stitch... so weird huh?

  3. Thanks so much! I'm a lefty and love finding diagrams that actually look like my stitches :)

I'm with Brook about the french knots... for some reason I still don't feel like I do them the right way.

    Thanks again!

  6. I bet someone could do a book for lefties, I don't think I have ever seen one. What a great idea!

  7. Yay! Thank you. People who say, "Just sit across from me" or "look in the mirror" just don't get it!

  8. I just startd to embroider about 4 months ago it would be great to own a south paw book! It's hard at times to follow right handed diagrams. The Sublime Stitching site had some great instructions for the "correct handed" .
