tast 2012 #21: butterfly chain stitch
Stitched by het groene kamertje

Before I saw this little sampler by Audrey, I had no idea what a Butterfly chain stitch was. I adore the gorgeous bright colors and all the beautiful texture in this piece. Wonderful work, Audrey!

  5. When I saw this stitch my mind just went nuts.  I could couch the bright blue thread in between the stitches, with beads or sequins,  to dress it up a bit.   It has many applications and a lot of texture.
