Patterns: Vintage Owl

Kedra's Owl by Shemp 3

I love this owl embroidered by Flickr user Shemp3 for her soon to be sister-in-law's birthday. I like how the embroidery pops out against the delicately patterned fabric. Shemp3 found the vintage pattern here at Mrs. Stitchy Britches'.

Hi, I'm Jo - I feature new embroidery patterns Sundays on Feeling Stitchy. I also post on our Twitter and Pinterest.

Is there a new pattern you'd like us feature? Email me!

  6. Very cool that you found this owl piece on flickr! My sister is the one who made it. She is aways working on some cool project, but when I saw this piece, it really jumped out at me. It's an great vintage pattern and was extremely well stitched! My sister gave my fiance the gift a few nights ago and she absolutely loved it (of course)! It already has a home in a prominent place in her bedroom.
A friend of ours (in another state) said that she was a huge fan of "feeling stitchy" and felt like she knew a celebrity after seeing my sister's work features on the blog!
Thanks so much for spotlighting her work on your site! And be sure to check her flickr account for more exciting pieces! Thanks again!
