What do you do when you're upset?

Merry Christmas cross stitch
Stitched by Pam

Pam stitches. And I think you and me do the same thing, too. Just a little Christmas stitching to remind you that the things you make, even in the toughest times for you, can inspire other people with a little holiday cheer. So stop worrying about who you have and haven't shopped for, and maybe just take a moment to stitch something. I think you'll feel better. :)

p.s. - The cross stitch pattern Pam used comes from CrossStitcher magazine, issue 245.

If you can't find a copy where you are, it looks like digital issues are available for purchase on Zinio.

Hi, I'm floresita, editor of Feeling Stitchy. I'm an avid stitcher, knitter, and crafter. You can see more of my stitching on Instagram and my blog. My vintage transfer collection is on Vintage Transfer Finds.

Feel free to email me with any ideas for the blog!

  1. Loving aqua and red these days.. this is lovely work :)

  2. It's true! I've been stitching all week to have gifts ready for folks. Thanks for this post.

  3. I love this stitchery by Pam. I have to do a little searching now and see if I can find the pattern. When I'm upset I usually either go shopping to a craft/quilt store or actually do some crafting. It is my therapy! Merry Christmas!!

  4. Thank you so much for featuring me! Stitching is definitely good for the soul. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  5. what a good post! Yes, Christmas is different this year for me.

  6. Stitching, knitting, embroidering - all are my favorite nerve calmers! Pam stitching is wonderful!

  7. This has been a tougher year for us, financially, and I have made more gifts than ever (quilts, pillows, ornaments, cookies (yum!, etc.) But I am finding I am blessed with people who really appreciate the handmade gifts and I will be trying to plan for this more next year.

I have also found CrossStitcher at JoAnns (I often use my coupons to get it cheaper too) and AC Moore. I really enjoy the magazine and look forward to the next one. :)

    Happy Holidays everyone!

  8. This is the cutest-ever cross stitch Merry Christmas. I love to sit and stitch any time -- in good or bad times.

  9. This is really pretty!!
I definitly stitch to help me relax and unwind, and zone out at the end of a long day.
