Embroidered Diana Camera Skirt stitched by Sew Lovely

I don't know about anyone else but personally I struggle sometimes with what to do with my embroidery, my pieces usually end up on cushions and I think my husband would say that we now have way too many cushions! So I love this idea by Sew Lovely of making this gorgeous camera embroidery into a skirt pocket so much that I thought it was worth blogging about the Smile for the Camera pattern sheet again (originally blogged about here). I think if you know your way round a sewing machine reasonably well, this would be quite easy to do and would be a lovely way to personalise a skirt!

I just love going through the flickr group and finding amazing pictures of stitchy goodness. I'm so envious of all the great photos. So, my question to you is....what is your secret to a great photo of your fine stitching? Do you have a light box? Do you scan it? Inquiring minds want to know!

The Kawaii Cute Vintage Camera pattern set by Tiny Bazaar has been around for a while, but it's always great seeing new interpretations of patterns popping up in the Embroidery Flickr pool. I love how the pattern has been made into an extremely cute pillow.

I love this pattern (which is part of Sew Lovely's Smile for the Camera pattern sheet) and I love the choice of fabric and the use of just black thread and how the boy has been placed in the bottom corner of the piece. A beautiful pattern and a beautiful piece of work to.
