Mexican Fiesta!

I'm gonna be 100% honest with you and admit that I have no clue what Cinco de Mayo is about.

But everyone knows this holiday is a good excuse to consume lots and lots of tequila and give a few "gritos" (if you've never heard a grito, by the way, just drink a bunch of tequila and you're bound to do one eventually)... :)

Well, before you let loose with that tequila this weekend, why not try some of these crafty Mexican-themed ideas:

Sugar Skulls

Or this awesome sugar skull embroidered by ykitty. Does that pattern look familiar? It's one of Jenny Hart's amazing Day of the Dead patterns.

Mexican Dresses

I have always been inspired by Mexican embroidery - as a child I had a few "Mexican dresses" which I treasured.
