Royal Wedding, anyone?

coversmall

Guess what I got in the mail? Well, if you don't feel like guessing, you're looking at it! The nice peeps at CrossStitcher were kind enough to mail their latest issue and I decided to keep it all to my stingy, non-stitching self. What? Of course not, guys - is there anything I don't give away? You probably think I'd give my own mom away if I could. (There is absolutely no proof of that. Yet.)

Anyway! This wonderful, commemorative copy of the CrossStitcher could be yours. I decided to keep this giveaway US-only because I want to make sure you get your copy in time for the wedding AND it'll be a nice treat for us non-UK-ers.

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post, and I thought, in honor of the wedding, I'd have the comments be extra goofy. If you could marry a prince (or princess) and choose exactly who he (or she) might be - actor, person in history, past or present, etc - who would it be? Choose your prince! (Or princess) :) And although I cannot mail you that person, I can send one lucky person a very nice magazine instead.

And, because I gotta be first up - here's mine:

Mark Ronson.... because he's cute... and talented. Ok, so I know nothing of his character, but he can make a mean record, and he's one snappy dresser. And he's a Brit (yours doesn't have to be). Comments will stay open until Saturday morning, when I'll close the comments, choose a random winner, and pop this magazine in the mail. So, bring it on, folks - it's prince time!

Edit: 4/23/11 - here's our winner!
Winner of the CrossStitcher magazine!

Happy zombie has a magazine coming in the mail!

  1. I would absolutely adore this magazine ... so if I can't win it, I will have to hunt it down to purchase it for memorbilia sake :) Prince, eh? I've been a Royal Watcher-Maniac since THE wedding in the 80's ... So my first thought is Prince Wills but, obviously ... DUH! LOL So ... it'd have to be Flynn Rider, who becomes a prince by marriage to Rapunzel.

What fun! Can't wait to see everyone else's responses :) Thank you ever so much for this opportunity!!

  3. HA- my honey is on a holiday in England now! But... if it weren't for him, I'd have to say I might be heavily leaning toward Jude Law. The boy makes my cheeks rosy and my nose sweaty! (I'm nearly blushing now- hehe).
    Happy Tuesday Floresita!

  4. Ooh, pick me please! :) I've been trying to find a good commemorative stitching project for the big event.

Hmm... if I had to pick a prince, it would either have to be Jon Krasinski (because he is sweet and funny and adorable and tall and...) or Rupert Friend as Prince Albert in "The Young Victoria" (who is adorable and drop-dead gorgeous in those fitted tails, waistcoats, and trousers).

  5. Do they have to be alive at the moment?

Because I would probably pick Cary Grant or Gregory Peck. :)

  6. I'm in the Canary Islands and I cannot find that magazine :'(.

About your prince, Mr. Ronson, I totally agree, he's so stylish and smart. He would has been my prince a year ago, but now I'm much into James Johnston from Biffy Clyro http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3294/2802236983_92007a9440.jpg ^^

  7. Hmmm, I think my first choice would be Prince Caspian from the Narnia movies. Actors should need a licence to be that deliciously dreamy :). My second choice would be Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation. I'm a sucker for a noble Klingon Warrior.

  9. I'm kind of a big dork about this stuff and everyone just looks at me cross eyed. *sigh*

If I had to pick a prince, I think I'd go with the original Mr. Darcy, Colin Firth. Handsome, intelligent, chivalrous and seemingly all around nice person.

  17. I haven't cross stitched in years, I started smocking when my girls were little and just haven't found the time for cross stitching.

My prince is defenetly Damian Lewis, I am a sucker for a skinny red head and he makes me twitter inside.

  31. I discovered your blog recently and am thinking of making the octopus one of these days, but in the meantime, how can I pass up on the chance to get a free mag? My prince would have to be a) hubby, b) Cary Grant or c)Hugh Grant. I guess choice b doesn't count, because he isn't alive.

  32. Funny, I just posted my top 5 favorite male celebrities that I find quite princely, including Hugh Jackman! Love him!

  33. Well obviosly my Darling hubby is my #1 Prince Charming otherwise I wouldn't have married him... but in a parrellel universe where he and I could never meet it would be one of 2 Aussie actors - Jeremy Lindsay Taylor or Dustin Clair. I have met them both and they are lovely guys plus they have grins that melt my heart & they are scruptiously, deliciously hot.

  34. I love this magazine! My prince would have to be Clark Gable.

    ReplyDelete

nowadays i'll stick to my prince of a boyfriend.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well, if we are really going to be goofy, I'll take the Easter Bunny---Mr. Peter Cottontail himself. I would NEVER run out of chocolate with that set up and chocolate is what I need.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I hope I'm not too late! But if I could choose any man to play my prince, I might have to go with Cary Grant. He's British and definitely dashing enough to convince me he's royalty!
